## Endless Tower

Endless Tower is a party-based dungeon instance where players climb through multiple floors, defeat monsters, and challenge MVPs for valuable rewards.

To enter Endless Tower, players must first create a party and start the instance through the required NPC.

***

## How to Enter Endless Tower

1. Go to Alberta and talk to **Captain Janssen**.

 Location: Alberta City
2. Donate **10,000 Zeny** to Captain Janssen.
3. Listen to his story and agree to become his first mate.
4. Captain Janssen will send you to Endless Tower Island.
5. After reaching the island, the **Party Leader** must speak with the **Tower Protection Stone**.
6. The Party Leader must generate the **Endless Tower Dungeon Instance**.
7. After the instance is created, the party has **5 minutes** to enter.
8. Once inside, the party has up to **4 hours** to complete the dungeon.

If the dungeon is not completed within 4 hours, all players inside the instance will be warped out and sent back to their save points.

Instance cooldown starts individually for each party member who enters the instance.

## Important Notes

* Taming any monster inside the tower may cause the instance to not register the monster properly.
* Killing the last monster on a floor using a mercenary may cause the kill to not register. If this happens, the portal to the next floor may not open.
* A time limit window will appear after entering the dungeon. If the window is closed, it can be opened again using:

 `Alt + B`
* Each party member receives **2 Ashes of Darkness** upon entering the tower.
* **Ashes of Darkness** are used to re-enter the tower if a player leaves the instance.
* Ashes of Darkness cannot be dropped, traded, mailed, or placed in carts.
* Ashes of Darkness have **0 weight**, but they can be sold to an NPC.
* If a player is forced to leave the tower, they can re-enter by speaking to the stone on Misty Island again.
* Re-entering the tower will automatically consume **1 Ash of Darkness** from the player's inventory.
* If the player has no Ashes of Darkness remaining, they cannot re-enter the tower.
* The exit portal on the 1st floor will send players to the 51st floor if they have already cleared the 50th floor.
* Many MVP ETC items can be exchanged through the Guild Dungeon Investment System.

## Instance Limit and Cooldown

There is no limit to how many instances a party can create within the 4-hour instance duration.

A new instance can be created under a different Party Leader if the previous instance has been destroyed.

Once the time limit ends, all party members who entered the instance will receive a cooldown of:

**6 days and 20 hours**

During this cooldown period, they cannot enter a new Endless Tower instance.\

This refresh option is limited to once per week per account.

## Advanced Run Management

Some players may choose to manage their Endless Tower runs carefully to increase their chances of collecting desired items.

### Basic Reset Method

1. Create a party with at least **2 characters**.
2. The Party Leader reserves the instance.

It is recommended that the Party Leader does not enter the instance during this process. Many players use a lower-level alt character as the Party Leader.
3. The fighting party members enter the instance and receive **2 Ashes of Darkness**.
4. The party proceeds through the floors until they reach the point where they want to restart.
5. All party members inside the tower leave the instance using Butterfly Wings or other available methods.
6. The Party Leader destroys the instance through the `Alt + B` instance window.

If the instance is not manually destroyed, it will be destroyed automatically after around 5 minutes once all party members have left.
7. The Party Leader reserves a new instance.
8. The party members enter the newly created instance.

This will consume **1 Ash of Darkness** from each entering party member.

Since each player receives 2 Ashes of Darkness at the start, each character can enter the starting floors up to **3 times per week**.

This can be either from the 1st floor or the 51st floor, depending on the player's tower progress.

## Important Warning

If any party member clicks the tower NPC before the instance is created, they may lose **1 Ash of Darkness**.

This can reduce the number of available runs for that character, so make sure the instance is properly created before entering.

## Floor Skip Note for Support Players

In ROID, support players who barely deal damage to MVPs may sometimes start on the 2nd floor instead of the 51st floor during the second and third runs.

To help prevent this issue, all players, especially support characters, should kill at least one of each monster on the last required floor before proceeding.

Recommended monsters to kill:

* Orc Skeleton
* Wind Ghost
* Khalitzburg

After that, talk to the NPC to exit after killing Naght Sieger.

On the second and third runs, all players should then be able to skip properly to the 51st floor.
